E-COMMERCE SPECIALIST

Job Summary

Dean Davidson is seeking an ecommerce professional to join our team in the role of E-commerce Specialist. This role will be responsible for overall management of the Dean Davidson digital storefronts, with particular attention to the conception and delivery of best-in-class customer experience. You will closely monitor user behavior, sales performance and web analytics to inform and prioritize optimization of the user journey. Managing the daily operation of the site, you will ensure the publication of all content and the seamless, uninterrupted functionality of the site. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role will work closely and collaboratively across all departments to support the sustainability and growth of the Dean Davidson ecommerce platforms.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Analyze website performance, user behavior and customer data to inform data-led recommendations that improve overall UX as well as broader customer experience, sales and marketing strategies
  • Provide knowledgeable answers to customer phone and email inquires regarding products and brand
  • Manage ongoing customer relationships using our CRM tools (gorgias)
  • Contribute to strategizing and planning of product launches and promotions
  • Track site sales on Shopify on a daily basis
  • Owns and maintains product catalogue on a daily basis
  • Uploads new products and collections to website
  • Ensure special Fulfillment requirements are addressed before product launch
  • Prepare website for sales and promotions
  • Merchandise category and collection pages regularly on both sites for optimal customer experience and conversion optimization
  • Continually suggest new merchandising ideas and applications to optimize site for conversion
  • Manage and identify apps that can be implemented to improve site usability
  • Daily checks of site to ensure there are no glitches, site is functioning on both desktop and mobile, site speed is acceptable
  • Act as the first point of contact and first responder to Shopify alerts regarding site concerns
  • Create and implement strategic SEO plans and guidelines alongside Head of Marketing by creating keyword strategies, link building, implementing the content strategy and increasing ranking in the most important search engines
  • Ensuring site design leads the e-commerce industry standards
  • Manages relationships with third party web developers
  • Create weekly and monthly E-Commerce report to share with relevant stakeholders
  • Be the in-house champion for e-commerce by continually bringing forward recommendations for site improvements, staying abreast of e-commerce trends and ensuring we adapt as needed

 

Experience:

  • 3 years + E-commerce experience
  • Experience with UX Design 
  • Product Management
  • Product Merchandising 
  • Detailed oriented
  • Knowledge of Shopify and Gorgias
  • Time Management Skills
